Sustainable, Low-Carbon Steel for the Future
Our Core Services

1. Carbon Footprint Assessment and Reduction

Scope 1, 2, and 3 Emissions: Consultants help identify and quantify greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions across the entire value chain.

Scope 1: Direct emissions from the company’s owned sources (e.g., blast furnaces, coke ovens).

Scope 2: Indirect emissions from electricity purchased.

Scope 3: Indirect emissions from the supply chain, including raw materials, logistics, and downstream product usage.

Deliverables: A detailed carbon inventory and footprint analysis report, providing a comprehensive breakdown of your supply chain’s emissions, pinpointing high-impact areas for improvement.

2. Carbon Accounting & Reporting Frameworks

Ensure your carbon accounting aligns with global standards and reporting frameworks:

  • GHG Protocol Compliance: Implement carbon accounting systems based on the globally recognized Greenhouse Gas Protocol for standardized emissions measurement.
  • CDP (Carbon Disclosure Project) Reporting: Prepare for CDP submissions by collecting, analyzing, and organizing carbon data in line with CDP’s requirements.
  • Science-Based Targets (SBTi): Set ambitious carbon reduction goals grounded in science by aligning your emissions targets with the Science-Based Targets initiative (SBTi) to support the Paris Agreement goals.

Deliverables: A compliance-ready carbon accounting framework tailored to your business, ensuring adherence to GHG Protocol standards and CDP reporting requirements.

3. Carbon Reduction Strategy & Implementation

Once you have a clear picture of your emissions, We help design and execute carbon reduction initiatives that drive measurable improvements:

Consultants propose strategies to reduce emissions, such as:

Improving energy efficiency in production processes.

Implementing Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) technologies.

Switching to renewable energy or alternative fuel sources (e.g., hydrogen).

Enhancing waste heat recovery and reducing flaringDeliverables:

A step-by-step carbon reduction action plan, with timelines, measurable targets, and a clear path to meeting your carbon neutrality or net-zero goals.

4. Carbon Offsetting & Neutrality Strategies

In cases where emissions cannot be fully eliminated, we provide guidance on credible carbon offsetting and neutrality approaches:

  • Carbon Offsetting Programs: Identify and invest in verified carbon offset projects, such as reforestation, renewable energy initiatives, or methane capture, to neutralize unavoidable emissions.
  • Net Zero Supply Chain Roadmap: Create a long-term roadmap to achieve a net-zero supply chain, integrating both emissions reductions and offset strategies.

Deliverables: A tailored offsetting strategy and net-zero roadmap that complements your carbon reduction efforts and helps your organization meet carbon neutrality goals.

Science Based Target Initiative (SBTi)

The Science-Based Targets initiative (SBTi) is a collaboration between CDP (formerly known as the Carbon Disclosure Project), the United Nations Global Compact (UNGC), the World Resources Institute (WRI), and the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF). It was launched in 2015 with the aim to help companies to set science-based emission reduction targets (SBTs) for reducing their greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions in line with the goals of the Paris Agreement.

The Science Based Targets initiative develops standards, tools and guidance which allow companies to set greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions reductions targets in line with what is needed to keep global heating below catastrophic levels and reach net-zero by 2050 at latest. The Corporate Net-Zero Standard provides a common, robust, science-based understanding of net-zero. It gives companies clarity and confidence that their near- and long-term decarbonization plans are aligned with climate science by providing a clear, consistent and science-based definition of net-zero. By aligning with this Standard, companies can set science-based net-zero targets.

Our way – Setting your decarbonization journey
We use GHG Protocol (Greenhouse Gas Protocol) guidelines for Scope 1, Scope 2 and Scope 3 emission quantification. We use the sector specific guidance extensively to calculate GHG wherever applicable. We also use IPCC updated Methodology for Greenhouse Gas Inventories to supplement and validate our calculations.

For Logistics and Supply Chain specific GHG inventorization we also integrate Global Logistics Emissions Council (GLEC) framework guidelines into our calculations.

For Transportation sector specific GHG inventorization we also integrate ISO 14083-2023 guidelines and reporting standards. In applicable cases we apply EcoTransIT methodology to achieve better accuracy in GHG quantification.
We help you prepare and submit your report to CDP using GHG Protocol standard and guidance.

For your decarbonization journey, we devise and implement your decarbonization strategy following SBTi guided emission reduction targets with spefic emphasis on sector specific guidance.
