SC Carbon Accounting
Building Sustainable, Low-Carbon Supply Chains for the Future
Our Core Services

1. Comprehensive Carbon Footprint Assessment (Scope 1, 2, and 3)

Take the first step towards effective emissions management with our in-depth Carbon Footprint Assessment. We evaluate your organization’s greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions across all three scopes, providing actionable insights to reduce your environmental impact and meet sustainability goals.

Key Benefits:

  • Scope 1 (Direct Emissions): Accurately measure emissions from company-owned or controlled sources, such as fuel combustion in fleet vehicles and on-site facilities.
  • Scope 2 (Indirect Energy Emissions): Calculate emissions linked to purchased electricity, heat, or steam, identifying opportunities for energy efficiency and renewable energy adoption.
  • Scope 3 (Value Chain Emissions): Assess indirect emissions throughout your supply chain, including transportation, production processes, waste management, and supplier operations, to address the full carbon impact of your business.

2. Carbon Accounting & Reporting Frameworks

Align your carbon accounting practices with globally recognized standards and reporting frameworks to enhance transparency, ensure compliance, and drive meaningful climate action. Our expert services support your journey from accurate emissions measurement to impactful reporting and target-setting.

Key Benefits:

  • GHG Protocol Compliance: Develop carbon accounting systems in line with the Greenhouse Gas Protocol, ensuring standardized and reliable emissions measurement across all scopes.
  • CDP (Carbon Disclosure Project) Reporting: Streamline your CDP submissions by collecting, analyzing, and organizing emissions data to meet CDP requirements and showcase your sustainability progress.
  • Science-Based Targets (SBTi): Set science-driven emissions reduction goals that align with the Science-Based Targets initiative (SBTi) and contribute to achieving the Paris Agreement’s climate objectives.

3. Carbon Reduction Strategy & Implementation

Our Carbon Reduction Strategy & Implementation services provide a roadmap for reducing emissions across your supply chain. By analyzing your current carbon footprint and identifying key opportunities, we design actionable strategies that align with your sustainability goals and drive measurable environmental impact. From supply chain optimization to supplier collaboration, our approach ensures practical solutions that foster both efficiency and compliance with global standards.

Key Benefits:

  • Supply Chain Decarbonization: Develop targeted strategies to minimize emissions at every stage, including sourcing sustainable materials, optimizing logistics, and transitioning to renewable energy.
  • Energy Efficiency Optimization: Uncover and implement energy-saving opportunities, such as streamlined transport routes, efficient production processes, and adoption of cleaner technologies.
  • Supplier Engagement for Carbon Reduction: Build collaborative partnerships with suppliers to establish carbon reduction initiatives and align them with your sustainability objectives.

4. Carbon Offsetting & Neutrality Strategies

Our Carbon Offsetting & Neutrality Strategies deliver effective solutions to manage unavoidable emissions, enabling businesses to achieve carbon neutrality while meeting sustainability goals.

We guide you in selecting verified carbon offset projects and crafting a net-zero supply chain roadmap that balances environmental impact with operational success.

By aligning with global sustainability standards, your business can enhance its reputation and build trust with eco-conscious stakeholders.

Key Benefits:

  • Carbon Offsetting Programs: Invest in certified projects such as reforestation, renewable energy initiatives, and methane capture to neutralize emissions effectively.
  • Net Zero Supply Chain Roadmap: Design a forward-looking strategy combining emission reductions and offset solutions to achieve a net-zero supply chain.
  • Sustainability Brand Enhancement: Improve market positioning by showcasing a commitment to environmental responsibility and climate action.

Supply Chains generate around 60% of all carbon emissions globally. The Supply Chain holds immense potential for emission reduction and sustainability. Many logistics providers, supply chain players,  shippers or freight forwarders have already committed to be carbon neutral by 2040 to 2050.

To meet supply chain climate goals, Scope 3 greenhouse gas emissions are particularly important. Scope 3 emissions are the indirect upstream and downstream emissions that result from company operations. These are typically over 11 times larger than Scope 1 and 2 combined. And the supply chain is the major source of all Scope 3 GHG emissions. Supply chain transparency is key to finding a solution. That begins with value chain mapping, emissions assessments and benchmarking. Companies can then work with ecosystem partners and suppliers to create long-term sustainable impact.
Science Based Target Initiative (SBTi)

The Science-Based Targets initiative (SBTi) is a collaboration between CDP (formerly known as the Carbon Disclosure Project), the United Nations Global Compact (UNGC), the World Resources Institute (WRI), and the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF). It was launched in 2015 with the aim to help companies to set science-based emission reduction targets (SBTs) for reducing their greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions in line with the goals of the Paris Agreement.

The Science Based Targets initiative develops standards, tools and guidance which allow companies to set greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions reductions targets in line with what is needed to keep global heating below catastrophic levels and reach net-zero by 2050 at latest. The Corporate Net-Zero Standard provides a common, robust, science-based understanding of net-zero. It gives companies clarity and confidence that their near- and long-term decarbonization plans are aligned with climate science by providing a clear, consistent and science-based definition of net-zero. By aligning with this Standard, companies can set science-based net-zero targets.

Our way – Setting your decarbonization journey
We use GHG Protocol (Greenhouse Gas Protocol) guidelines for Scope 1, Scope 2 and Scope 3 emission quantification. We use the sector specific guidance extensively to calculate GHG wherever applicable. We also use IPCC updated Methodology for Greenhouse Gas Inventories to supplement and validate our calculations.

For Logistics and Supply Chain specific GHG inventorization we also integrate Global Logistics Emissions Council (GLEC) framework guidelines into our calculations.

For Transportation sector specific GHG inventorization we also integrate ISO 14083-2023 guidelines and reporting standards. In applicable cases we apply EcoTransIT methodology to achieve better accuracy in GHG quantification.
We help you prepare and submit your report to CDP using GHG Protocol standard and guidance.

For your decarbonization journey, we devise and implement your decarbonization strategy following SBTi guided emission reduction targets with spefic emphasis on sector specific guidance.
